Vaktstjóri í eldhúsi / Sous Chef

Center Hotels is looking for a hardworking and experienced Sous Chef.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Daily preparation and cooking.
  • Guides and trains kitchen staff.
  • Supervising the shift and making sure all tasks are completed and all quality standards are followed.
  • Responsible for proper handling and storing food for the day.
  • Assist the head chef with responsibilities of cost control, orders, inventory status, etc.
  • Other occasional tasks.

Education and qualification requirements

  • Positivity and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Great customer service.
  • Professional and organized work practices.
  • Experience from similar work in a kitchen.
  • Education as a chef preferred.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and quality standards (HACCP).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • General computer skills.

Working hours from 10:00-22:00 or 11:00-23:00 on a 2-2-3 shift schedule.
